The Calgary Italian Club hosts many yearly events for our members and guests. Our most popular events are the Children's Pumpkin Carving Family Night and a Halloween Dinner and Dance usually on Friday and Saturday in October. In November we host the Annual Wine Festival and prizes are awarded for wine entries from the previous night's judging. We host a Children's Christmas party and Santa typically arrives with brilliant gifts for the children. Our New Year's Eve Gala is always well attended featuring an all inclusive evening of exquisite dining and dancing with a midnight celebration count-down. Other popular events are February's Valentine's Day Dinner and Dance. The Club has offered Father's Day Rib Night and Pasta in June and in July we cap off the year with our Annual Stampede BBQ and follow that with our Annual Picnic usually held at Westward Ho in Sundre, Alberta. All these events can be found on our schedule of events.
The objects of the Calgary italian Club are:
- foster a better Canadian society by promoting mutual understanding, goodwill and cooperation between Canadians of Italian origin and the community at large;
- provide and support cultural, social and recreational activities for its members;
- support other Italian-Canadian cultural, education and social organizations through the use of the facilities;
- provide a suitable facility and environment to carry out the objects of the Club;
- organize fund-raising activities, the funds from which, after payment of expenses, shall be devoted to the objects of the Club.
